Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piter KZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the ring accompanied by Lil jon: Throw it up. Anthony Evans has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piter KZ!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
KZ takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
You can see the frustration on KZ's face as Evans controls the position.
Evans working the body and head with strikes.
KZ is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
KZ makes his way to full guard. A much better position for KZ.
Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as KZ works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
KZ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

KZ throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Evans wants to stand and escape but instead KZ has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
KZ lands a couple of decent looking shots.
KZ tries to free his leg and advance position but Evans is retaining full guard.
Evans tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Evans is working hard here to advance position.

Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for KZ on the ground.
KZ trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

KZ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
KZ advances to half guard.
KZ stops Evans from getting back to his feet.
KZ drops an elbow to the side of Evans's head.
KZ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Evans tries to get to full guard but KZ has control of the leg.
KZ seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Evans does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. KZ connects with a nice short shot to Evans's temple.
KZ throwing shots but Evans is blocking nicely.
KZ tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Evans.

KZ drops an elbow to the side of Evans's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
KZ trying to pass the guard but Evans defending well.

KZ is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Evans is trying to stand.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Evans is looking for a sweep. KZ is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Evans controlling the position well.
KZ seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

KZ is working for a kimura but Evans is defending it quite comfortably.
Evans keeps control of the position for the meantime.

KZ trying to control from half guard but Evans is working away.
KZ thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

KZ is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Evans won't allow KZ to pass to mount.
The fighters are battling for position here. Evans manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but KZ is one step ahead there.
KZ loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Evans pulls KZ in close to his closed guard and prevents KZ from doing any damage or advancing position.
Evans scores with a nice shot.
Evans not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Evans is looking to stand up but KZ isn't so interested in that idea.
Evans is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anthony Evans.
KZ misses with a low kick as Evans jumps back.

so Evans counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Evans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Evans lands a couple of digs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Evans will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


KZ shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Evans counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Evans stopping the sweep attempt from KZ.
Evans throws a strike but KZ rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Evans pulls KZ in close to his closed guard and prevents KZ from doing any damage or advancing position.
Evans looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but KZ puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
KZ is thwarting Evans's attempts to control the position.
Evans has a hand on KZ's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. KZ takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Evans wants to hold on but KZ pushes him away.

BOOM! KZ connects with a massive shot to the dome!
KZ trying to control but Evans is having none of it.
Evans is trying desperately to improve position.
KZ lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Evans hang on?
Evans is in all sorts of trouble here.

KZ is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Evans can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Evans tries to lock up and control but KZ gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Oh Evans is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
KZ lands a big elbow - Evans is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Evans is forced to tap out!
