The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zaycev drops Semenov with a beautiful combination! Semenov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zaycev is looking for the KO!

It looks like Dmitry Semenov has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zaycev misses with a few strikes there.
Zaycev throws a series of punches but Semenov avoids them all with ease.

Semenov dives in and scores a takedown into Zaycev's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Semenov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Zaycev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Semenov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Zaycev is working to avoid the ground and pound but Semenov connects with a decent elbow.
Semenov takes a little break here. Zaycev wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Semenov moves into full mount!
Semenov cracks Zaycev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That has opened up Alexander Zaycev's cut even more.

Semenov is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Zaycev is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Zaycev flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Semenov anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Zaycev and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Semenov slips an arm under Zaycev chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Semenov has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Semenov is squeezing on Zaycev like an anaconda would it's prey. Zaycev fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
