Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Line!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Clark!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Line shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clark but Clark pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Line closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clark quickly recovers to half guard.
Clark is trying to stand back up but Line is controlling him

Line seems to be looking for submissions.

Line is looking for a kimura but Clark is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Line to get the leverage.

Clark is not content to let Line control the position.

Clark is defending against the submission attempts here by Line.

Line is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Clark has managed to free his arm - good work.

Clark looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Line wants to work for an arm triangle but Clark is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Line drops back, looking for a kneebar! Clark looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Clark looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Clark!
Line tries to improve position but can't.

Clark tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Line manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Line wants to get back to full guard.
Line is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Clark jumps into side control!

Line manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Clark wants to stand up but Line is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Line is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Line is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Clark wants to stand up but Line has a hold of him and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Line moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Clark is looking to clinch but Line is avoiding it.
Line tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clark swivels and escapes.
Clark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Clark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clark connects with a solid leg kick.
Clark lands a jab to the head.
Clark tries to clinch but Line is having none of it.
Clark lands a jab to the nose.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Line shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Clark manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Clark has Line pulled in close to control his posture.

Line pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clark is keeping the position for now.
Line throws a strike but Clark rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Clark passes into half guard.

Clark stands up and beckons Line to join him on the feet.
Clark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Line.
Line gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Clark scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Line moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Line gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Clark.
Joe Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clark throws a nice inside leg kick.
Clark misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clark checks a leg kick nicely.
Joe Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Line shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Line. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clark jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.


Line is rocked!
Line fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Clark scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Oh Line is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clark moves in looking to clinch but Line pushes him off.
Clark comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Line gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Clark gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Clark!
