Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Broyles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Hopsin - Ill Mind Of Hopsin 4. Rashad Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Broyles!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broyles fails to land the takedown.
Broyles jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Broyles looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Broyles quickly recovers to half guard.
Broyles wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Broyles can do anything to dispel that myth.
Broyles is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Broyles wants to get back to full guard.
Broyles tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Broyles's head.
Jones looks to land a strike but Broyles avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Broyles dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Broyles's head and hops out.

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Broyles's guard.
Broyles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Broyles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones thows a huge punch but Broyles dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Broyles swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones is standing up over Broyles. Broyles looks to escape but Jones dives into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones tries to advance to mount but Broyles denies him.
Jones prevents Broyles from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Broyles fails with the takedown.
Broyles shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Rashad Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Broyles clinches up against the cage.

Broyles gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Broyles will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Broyles darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.

Jones is pressed up against the cage. Broyles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Broyles clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.

Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Broyles tries to improve position but can't.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jones scores with a couple of short elbows.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones is putting a hurting on Broyles here, landing some big shots from side control.

Jones looking to control but instead Broyles has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Broyles wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.

Rashad Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones stops Broyles from getting back to his feet.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Broyles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Rashad Jones will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones is pressed up against the cage. Broyles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rashad Jones.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Broyles defends it nicely.
Broyles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Broyles gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Broyles clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Broyles is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Jones throws a series of strikes and Broyles wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott Broyles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!


It looks like Scott Broyles has been cut.
Jones looking to control but Broyles is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Rashad Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
