A fine choice. Rigogo has chosen Parapapapa as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapila drops his hands momentarily and Rigogo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kapila is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rigogo.

Agni Kapila's cut is getting worse.
Rigogo tries to land a front kick but Kapila steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rigogo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kapila bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rigogo tries to buck Kapila off but Kapila is having none of it.
Kapila throws a strike aimed at the side of Rigogo's head but Rigogo avoids it well.
Rigogo is trying to improve his position.
Kapila in side control lands a decent elbow.

Rigogo gets back to half guard.
Kapila missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Kapila throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rigogo is trying to control but can't.

Kapila wants to take a breather but Rigogo is having none of it.
Rigogo regains full guard. Nicely done.

Rigogo working for a triangle but Kapila defends it easily.
Rigogo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kapila!

Rigogo wants to finish this one by submission but Kapila is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rigogo.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kapila is desperately trying to improve his position but Rigogo has a good base and remains in mount.

Rigogo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kapila to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kapila shrugs it off.

Kapila tries to reverse the position but Rigogo maintains control.

Kapila is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
