Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jet Astronix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Dukakis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jet Astronix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Dukakis! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Astronix shoots in looking for a takedown but Dukakis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Astronix's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dukakis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dukakis lands in his opponent's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dukakis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Astronix isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dukakis stacks Astronix on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dukakis! Astronix is looking for a sweep. Dukakis taking a breather here. Astronix taking punishment in the form of punches.
Astronix is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dukakis connects with a decent elbow. Astronix is being controlled here. Dukakis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Astronix on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Astronix is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Astronix tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dukakis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dukakis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Astronix is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dukakis scores with a couple of short elbows. Astronix wants to get back to his feet but Dukakis is dominant here and he's now got Astronix's back! Astronix tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Dukakis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dukakis lands a big elbow.
Astronix is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dukakis raining down hammerfists from mount. Oh Astronix is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dukakis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dukakis lands a big elbow. Astronix is breathing heavily. Dukakis loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Astronix scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Dukakis land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Dukakis stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Dukakis!
