Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Sobchak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Sobchak !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sobchak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sobchak looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bastard fails with a takedown attempt.
Bastard misses with a two punch combination.
Bastard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sobchak tries to avoid it but Bastard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sobchak to the ground. Sobchak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jeff Sobchak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Bastard.
No luck for Bastard with that takedown attempt.
Bastard shoots in for a takedown but Sobchak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bastard swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Bastard closes the distance and clinches.
Bastard dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Sobchak throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bastard blocks it with crossed arms.

Sobchak lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bastard moves into full guard.
Bastard looking for a sweep. Not yet Bastard, not yet.

Bastard pushes Sobchak off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Bastard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sobchak using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bastard has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bastard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bastard dives in and grabs Sobchak 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sobchak pushes down on Bastard's head and hops out.

Bastard moves into range and clinches up with Sobchak .
Bastard misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bastard is looking to break free of the clinch but Sobchak has double underhooks.

Sobchak turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sobchak manages to end up in side control.
Bastard manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bastard is trying to stand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bastard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sobchak 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sobchak 's back!

Sobchak covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Sobchak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sobchak is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Bastard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sobchak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bastard.
A combination from Bastard does no damage.
Bastard lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bastard.

Bastard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bastard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sobchak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bastard somewhat.

Big Bastard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sobchak stuffs the takedown attempt from Bastard. Bastard gets slowly back to his feet.
Sobchak leaves Bastard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sobchak misses the shot to the body.
Bastard shoots in for a takedown but Sobchak shows good takedown defense.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bastard bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bastard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bastard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bastard wants to control but Sobchak is keeping him busy.

Bastard throws a strike aimed at the side of Sobchak 's head but Sobchak avoids it well.

Sobchak stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sobchak wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Bastard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Sobchak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bastard.

Bastard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sobchak pinned against the cage. Sobchak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bastard looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sobchak connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Big Bastard has been cut.

Bastard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sobchak tries to land a leg kick but Bastard saw it coming and moves away.
Bastard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sobchak 's waist but Sobchak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bastard off to one side.
Bastard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Bastard gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bastard tries to stand and escape but Sobchak actually recovers to full guard.
Bastard tries to free his leg and advance position but Sobchak is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bastard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Big Bastard is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
