Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Maestro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maestro comes to the cage accompanied by Ripped To Shreds. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Maestro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damian Boom!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom misses with a wild combination.
Maestro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maestro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Boom misses with a two punch combination.
Boom cracks Maestro with a good jab.
Boom connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Maestro misses with a body shot.
A jab from Boom does it's job there.
Boom shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Maestro eats them both and turns towards Boom to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Boom cracks Maestro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A punch combination from Boom misses.
Maestro misses with a body shot.
Boom tests Maestro's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Maestro checks a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Maestro does no damage.
Boom scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Damian Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Boom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boom gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Maestro lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Maestro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Maestro stops Boom from getting back to his feet.
Boom moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maestro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Maestro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boom is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boom has escaped and now he's on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maestro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Boom throwing strikes but missing.

Boom stands up and waves to Maestro to follow him.
Nice straight punches there by Boom. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Boom.
A bone on bone clash there as Maestro blocks the leg kick.
Maestro shoots in and drives through. Boom sprawls well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Boom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Boom stands up and waves to Maestro to follow him.
Boom lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Boom instigates a clinch.
Maestro changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boom fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Maestro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom catches Maestro with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Boom has closed the distance and engaged Maestro in a clinch.
Boom can't break the clinch.
Maestro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boom smiles and moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boom pushes Maestro up against the cage in a clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Maestro just misses with a elbow thrown towards Boom's brow.
Maestro keeps control of Boom as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Maestro is trying to push Boom away but Boom has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Maestro keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Boom's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damian Boom dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Boom jabs at Maestro's body.
Maestro tries to clinch but Boom is having none of it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Still in the clinch, Maestro scores with a nice short uppercut.
Maestro is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Maestro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boom pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Boom is trying to break the clinch but Maestro is controlling him.
Maestro goes for a takedown attempt but Boom pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Boom misses with a double jab.

and Maestro counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Boom walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Maestro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Boom moves out of range as Maestro throws a body kick.
Boom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Boom drives through and clinches with Maestro against the cage.
Boom is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maestro wants to break the clinch but can't.
Boom tries to break the clinch but Maestro is controlling the position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Boom as Maestro tries to tie him up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Maestro.
Maestro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boom smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Maestro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maestro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maestro somewhat.
Boom pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maestro back to the cage. Boom follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Boom closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Boom lands a slapping body shot.

Boom looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boom not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Boom is taking a breather. Maestro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Maestro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boom pulls his head out easily.
Maestro is staying active underneath Boom, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Boom thows a huge punch but Maestro dodges it nicely.
Boom passes the guard and advances to mount!
Maestro is in a horrible position here. Boom smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Maestro is squirming around, avoiding Boom's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maestro is looking to improve his position but Boom isn't that keen on the idea.
Boom thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Maestro is desperately trying to improve his position but Boom has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee warns Maestro that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Damian Boom showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Maestro shoots in but no luck this time.
Maestro is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Boom.


Maestro is rocked!
Maestro doesn't manage to clinch there - Boom circles away.
Oh Maestro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maestro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Boom tests Maestro's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Boom connects with a right hand. Maestro shakes it off.
Boom throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Maestro stumbling backwards into the cage! Maestro bounces back off the cage towards Boom, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Boom lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Boom celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Damian Boom!
A very excited looking Damian Boom made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
