Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yushi Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoon Chung Kim!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Yushi Takahashi has been cut.

Takahashi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kim looking for a guillotine here but Takahashi defends easily.

Kim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takahashi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takahashi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Takahashi has managed to get both his arms back between Kim's legs - danger averted.

Takahashi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kim's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takahashi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kim is looking to escape.
Takahashi cracks Kim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Takahashi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kim wants to hold on but Takahashi pushes him away.
Kim flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kim is just holding on here. Takahashi manages to take his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kim breaks Takahashi's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Takahashi wants to sweep here but Kim controlling him for the moment.

Kim drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Takahashi dives on top into guard.

Kim is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Takahashi is working Kim over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Takahashi wanted to stand there but Kim had control of the position.
Takahashi is pushing down on Kim's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kim is fighting to maintain full guard but Takahashi has managed to sneak the leg through.

Takahashi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Takahashi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takahashi connects with a nice short shot to Kim's temple.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kim manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Takahashi wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takahashi controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kim has a takedown stuffed.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kim.

and Kim counters with a nice uppercut.
Kim scores with a spinning back kick!
Kim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Takahashi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A left and a right from Kim both land. Nice combination.
Kim feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Takahashi's calf.
Kim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Takahashi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kim.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kim avoids the attempt from Takahashi to control.
Kim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kim tries to control but Takahashi wriggling away.
Kim with shots to the head and body - Takahashi looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kim landing punches.


Takahashi is rocked!
Kim sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Oh Takahashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yushi Takahashi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kim working the ground and pound effectively.

Kim cracks Takahashi with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
