The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem misses with a wild combination.
Crixus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Overeem circles away quickly and effectively.
Crixus tries to bum rush Overeem with a series of wild strikes but Overeem uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Overeem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crixus pinned against the cage. Crixus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Overeem shoots in but Crixus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Crixus stuffs the takedown attempt from Overeem. Overeem gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alistair Overeem. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crixus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Overeem.
Oooooh!!! Crixus has knocked Overeem down with a huge combo! Crixus steps away and waves a wobbly Overeem back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Alistair Overeem has been cut.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Overeem. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crixus is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Overeem hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
