The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aligheri pinned against the cage. Aligheri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Aligheri avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cooper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aligheri swivels and escapes.
Aligheri slips a jab and a cross from Cooper.
Cooper fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Aligheri looks for a takedown but Cooper sprawls well.

Cooper drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aligheri gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cooper is trying to drag Aligheri to the mat but Aligheri just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Aligheri has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cooper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Cooper breaks the clinch.
Cooper wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cooper dives in and grabs Aligheri's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aligheri pushes down on Cooper's head and hops out.
Aligheri shoots in looking for a takedown but Cooper manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aligheri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Aligheri loads up on a big right hand but Cooper slips the punch.
Cooper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cooper closes the distance and clinches.
Cooper is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Aligheri is defending well.
Aligheri is trying to force a seperation but Cooper has the dominant position.

Cooper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cooper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aligheri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cooper somewhat.
Cooper closes the distance and clinches up with Aligheri, looking for a takedown. Cooper pushes Aligheri against the cage but Aligheri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Aligheri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
