Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darek Borkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Pinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borkowski's entrance music is Sabaton- 40:1. A fine choice. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Darek Borkowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Pinha!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Borkowski.

Pinha shoots for a double leg takedown but Borkowski sprawls well. He's pushed Pinha's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Pinha counters with a right hand to the body.

Darek Borkowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Pinha.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pinha.
Diego Pinha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pinha gets tackled into the cage by Borkowski. Borkowski maintains the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pinha takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Borkowski tries to reverse the position but Pinha maintains control.

Borkowski is desperately trying to improve his position but Pinha has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That kick from Borkowski tenderised Pinha's leg. Pinha is trying to keep his angry face on.

Pinha shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Borkowski but Borkowski pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Borkowski has Pinha up against the cage in a clinch.
Pinha's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Borkowski swings wildly with an uppercut but Pinha uses good head movement to avoid it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Pinha is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pinha thows a huge punch but Borkowski dodges it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Borkowski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pinha tries to land a front kick but Borkowski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darek Borkowski will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Borkowski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Pinha takes a shot to the head.
Borkowski keeps control of Pinha as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Borkowski manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Borkowski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pinha smiles and moves away.

Pinha jumps guard and drags Borkowski to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

I think Pinha has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
