Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Alborghetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia closes the distance and clinches.
Maia ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maia no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Maia has a closed guard, preventing Alborghetti from standing up.
Maia is looking for a triangle but Alborghetti pushes his legs off easily.
Maia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alborghetti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alborghetti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Maia looking for a triangle here. Alborghetti is fighting it but it looks tight! Maia pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Alborghetti is tapping out - this one is all over!
