The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorlongus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spong pinned against the cage. Spong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Thorlongus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Thorlongus tries for a takedown but Spong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tyrone Spong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Forrest Thorlongus.
Thorlongus wants to clinch up but Spong keeps it at a distance.
Spong lands a jab to Thorlongus's midsection.
Thorlongus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Spong slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Forrest Thorlongus has been cut.
Good standup being displayed there by Spong as he connects with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thorlongus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spong as he avoids it easily.
Spong lands a jab.
Thorlongus tries to clinch up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thorlongus.
Thorlongus looks gassed!
Thorlongus circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Spong. Thorlongus falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Spong!
