Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Morse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brais Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morse comes to the ring accompanied by Metallica-No Remorse. Brais Punk has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Morse's chin.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punk dives in and grabs Morse's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morse pushes down on Punk's head and hops out.
Punk shoots in for a takedown but Morse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Punk shoots for a double leg takedown but Morse sprawls well. He's pushed Punk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
David Morse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brais Punk.
Morse scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Morse fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Punk looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Morse feints and then cracks Punk's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Punk down.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Morse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Punk on the ground.

Punk darts in and clinches Morse up against the ropes.
Punk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Morse pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Morse breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Punk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Punk somewhat.
David Morse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punk shoots in for a takedown but Morse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Punk throws the kick towards the body but Morse avoids it.

Morse lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Punk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morse swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Punk shoots in looking for a takedown. Morse tries to sprawl out of it but Punk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Morse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morse fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Punk on the side of the head.

Nice uppercut lands for Morse. That snapped Punk's head back.
Morse lands a body shot.
Punk shoots in but Morse avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morse cracks Punk with a good jab.
Punk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morse tries to avoid it but Punk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morse to the ground. Morse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Morse bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Punk has Morse up against the ropes in a clinch.
Morse unloads a knee to the mid-section. Punk lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

It looks like Brais Punk has been cut.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Punk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Morse smiles and moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morse thuds his right hand into Punk's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Morse closes the distance and clinches up with Punk, looking for a takedown. Morse pushes Punk against the ropes but Punk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morse keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Punk takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Punk takes one to the side of the head.

Punk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morse's waist but Morse gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Punk off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Punk or perhaps it was just good defense by Morse which made him look bad.

Punk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Morse clobbers Punk with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Morse works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Morse takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Morse swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Punk counters with a shoot takedown. Morse fights it but they end up in guard.

Morse scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Morse throws a quick inside leg kick.
Punk takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Morse stalks Punk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Punk's face. Punk staggers backwards, shaken.
Morse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Punk is trying to control. Morse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Punk is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Morse tries to reverse the position but Punk maintains control.

Let's hope that Punk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Punk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Morse bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Punk's head.
Morse goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
