Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raymond Triplett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Radek Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Triplett shoots in and gets a takedown into Kowalski's guard.
Triplett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Triplett misses with the combination.

Triplett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kowalski to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kowalski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kowalski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kowalski passes Triplett's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Triplett has hold of Kowalski's hands but Kowalski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kowalski scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Triplett is looking to control Kowalski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Triplett avoid being mounted?
Triplett has hold of Kowalski's hands but Kowalski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kowalski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Triplett defends it well.
Kowalski is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kowalski lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Triplett is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kowalski scores with a couple of nice shots.
Still in half guard, Kowalski seems content to control.

Kowalski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Triplett defend it? Kowalski steps over the head and cranks it - Triplett is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kowalski!
