Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana Fertitta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen Ai se eu te pego..! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leo Rua!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua fails with a takedown attempt.

Fertitta dives in and scores a takedown into Rua's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fertitta is looking to stand up but Rua won't let him.
Fertitta trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fertitta has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rua seems keen to control Fertitta's posture.

Rua is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fertitta defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dana Fertitta wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Rua throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rua lands with a kick to the temple. Fertitta shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fertitta feints and as Rua raises his hands in defense, Fertitta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fertitta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rua on the ground.
Rua throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rua is trying to control the position but Fertitta postures up.

Rua looking for a guillotine here but Fertitta defends easily.
Rua has his hands on Fertitta's head, controlling the position.

Fertitta tries to free his leg and advance position but Rua is retaining full guard.
Rua is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fertitta wants to control from the top but Rua keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A slapping body kick lands there for Rua.
Fertitta is breathing heavily.
Fertitta defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rua.

Rua rushes Fertitta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rua has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fertitta clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rua is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Fertitta. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Rua scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Fertitta covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Rua lands punches and elbows.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rua has good solid back control here.

Rua sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Fertitta taps out!
