The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matta lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nurjas circles away from the clinch attempt.

Matta tries to keep at a distance but Nurjas has taken the fight into the clinch.

Nurjas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nurjas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Matta being controlled here momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nurjas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matta is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nurjan Nurjas was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Matta connects with an inside leg kick.

Nurjas pushes Matta up against the cage in a clinch.
Nurjas is looking for a takedown.

Nurjas wants the takedown. Matta is fighting it off but Nurjas persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Matta's guard against the cage.

Nurjas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nurjas dives in and scores a takedown into Matta's guard.

Nurjas stands up from Matta's guard - Nurjas perhaps looking for a knockout.

Matta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nurjas on the ground.

Nurjas has control of Matta's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Matta regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Matta reaches up to try and control the position but Nurjas seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Matta rolls and tries to escape and now Nurjas has his back!

Nurjas is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Matta is tapping out! This one is all over!
