Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between PeeJii Penni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janulf Kristiansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). PeeJii Penni has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristiansen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kristiansen clinches with his opponent.
Kristiansen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Penni pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kristiansen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kristiansen.

Kristiansen pulls guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Penni is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Penni tries to free his leg and advance position but Kristiansen is retaining full guard.
Penni trying to control but Kristiansen is working from the bottom.
Kristiansen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Penni!
Kristiansen wants to control the pace but Penni is squirming around nicely.

Kristiansen stands up from mount. Strange move.
Kristiansen tries to clinch up.
Kristiansen throws a body punch but Penni moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Penni. Those never looked like landing.
Penni throws out a loose jab but Kristiansen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kristiansen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Penni.
Kristiansen wants to clinch.
Penni could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Penni tries to break free but Kristiansen pushes him back against the cage.

Kristiansen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
PeeJii Penni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kristiansen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Penni. That did some damage!
Penni circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kristiansen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kristiansen.
PeeJii Penni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janulf Kristiansen.
Penni keeps the fight on the outside.
Kristiansen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kristiansen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Penni displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kristiansen.
Kristiansen shoots for a takedown but Penni saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kristiansen looks gassed!

Kristiansen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kristiansen moves in looking to clinch but Penni pushes him off.
Penni throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Penni scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Janulf Kristiansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penni scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kristiansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Penni tries to sprawl out of it but Kristiansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Penni throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Penni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice uppercut there from Penni.

Kristiansen throws a head kick but Penni moves out of range.
Penni tests Kristiansen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kristiansen blocks a jab.
Penni lands a nice shot to the body.
Kristiansen throws a right hand that Penni ducks under and follows up with a left that Penni also avoids with ease.
Penni connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd cheers as Penni lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kristiansen doesn't seem phased though.
A lazy left from Penni finds it's target.

Kristiansen is rocked!
Penni lands an uppercut, right on the button! Kristiansen tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
