Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoh Azakura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romeo Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Romeo Best!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azakura drives through with a takedown into guard.
Best is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Azakura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Best is trying to control the position but Azakura postures up.

Azakura drops back looking for a leg! Best is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Best manages to kick Azakura off! Azakura jumps back into Best's guard.

Azakura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Azakura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Best has his foot on Azakura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Azakura works his way back into a safe position though.

Azakura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Best is just riding it out for now. Azakura eventually gives up the hold.

Best has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Azakura is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Azakura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Best gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Yoh Azakura will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Best has control of Azakura's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Azakura regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Best is looking for a kimura but Azakura is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Best to get the leverage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Best has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
