Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blasting Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blasting Houston !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Doe misses
and Houston counters with an inside leg kick.
Doe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Houston tries to avoid it but Doe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Houston to the ground. Houston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Houston feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Does jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Doe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Houston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Doe.
Blasting Houston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe.

Houston takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Doe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Doe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Houston tries to close the distance and clinch but Doe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A solid leg kick lands there for Doe.
Blasting Houston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Doe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Houston as he avoids it easily.

Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Doe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Doe is looking to clinch but Houston is avoiding it.
Houston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Houston as he avoids it easily.

Houston scores with a one two! Doe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Doe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Houston but Houston pushes him off and we're back to square one.

With the fighters up against the cage, Houston throws an elbow but misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Houston is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Doe is defending well for now.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Houston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Doe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Houston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Doe somewhat.

Houston is trying to push Doe away but Doe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Houston is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Houston wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Doe has him pressed against the cage.
Doe wants to take the fight to the mat but Houston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Houston lands a good knee to the midsection. Doe won't want to take too many of those.
Doe is breathing heavily.

Doe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Blasting Houston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe.

Doe breaks from the clinch.

Doe clinches up against the cage.
Houston with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Houston breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Houston misses with a few strikes there.
Houston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Houston looks to land a combination but Doe avoids it well.
Doe takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Doe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Houston pinned against the cage. Houston gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Doe counters with a nice low kick that buckles Houston 's knee momentarily.
Doe swats away the attempt to clinch by Houston .
Doe fails with a takedown attempt.

Houston 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Houston duly obliges.
Doe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Houston avoids it really well and circles away.
Doe closes the distance and clinches up with Houston , looking for a takedown. Doe pushes Houston against the cage but Houston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

and Doe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Houston 's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Houston avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Houston wants to stand but Doe is controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Doe stands up and waves to Houston to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Blasting Houston will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Doe clinches up with Houston and pushes him back against the cage.

Doe tries to stall but Houston uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Houston has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Houston misses with a punch to the body.

Doe avoiding damage as Houston throws knees to the body.
Doe stalls.
Houston tries to circle away but Doe has him pinned against the cage.
Doe misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Houston tries to land knees in the clinch but Doe avoids the damage to the body.
Doe keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Houston 's efforts to push away.

A frustrated look appears on Houston 's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Houston looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Doe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Houston counters with a nice leg kick.
Doe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Blasting Houston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe.
Doe shoots in but Houston avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Doe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Houston counters with a good low kick that Doe was not able to check.
Doe takes a kick to the side of the head.
Good leg kick by Houston there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Houston has managed to clinch.
Houston tries a body shot but Doe blocks it.

Houston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blasting Houston is winning the standup battle so far.
Doe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Houston defends it nicely.

Houston scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Houston throws a head kick but Doe moves out of range.
Doe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Houston but Houston pushes him off and we're back to square one.
John Doe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Blasting Houston is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Blasting Houston showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Houston , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
