Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dimitri Kolesky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johny Balantines!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balantines dodges the punch combination from Kolesky.
Balantines fails to land the takedown.
Kolesky lands with a straight right. Balantines didn't see that one coming.
Kolesky throws a series of punches but Balantines avoids them all with ease.
Balantines misses with a takedown
and Kolesky counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Balantines shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Balantines avoids the attempt from Kolesky to control.
Balantines takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Balantines doesn't have the hooks in and Kolesky manages to turn into his guard.

Balantines looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kolesky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kolesky wants to pass the guard but Balantines is keeping the position.
Kolesky trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Balantines manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Balantines advances position into side control!

Balantines is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kolesky is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Balantines tries to advance to mount but Kolesky instead regains half guard.
Kolesky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balantines on the ground.

Kolesky is positioning himself well to prevent Balantines advancing to mount.
Kolesky moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Balantines stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kolesky swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Balantines passes Kolesky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Balantines dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kolesky. Balantines shrugs it off though.
Kolesky scores with a spinning back kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Balantines slaps away a takedown attempt from Kolesky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dimitri Kolesky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kolesky looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Balantines!

Kolesky jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Balantines manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kolesky tries to move to mount but Balantines blocks the move with his legs.
Balantines is breathing heavily.

Kolesky trying to control the position but Balantines is working away.

Kolesky is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Balantines knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kolesky has hold of Balantines's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Balantines seems comfortable defending it but Kolesky has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Balantines is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Balantines is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kolesky couldn't care less - he's delighted!
