Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Cartofell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartofell has chosen Snow as his entrance music. Arthur Cartofell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Cartofell!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake has a takedown stuffed.
Cartofell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cartofell tries to pass to full mount but Drake defends it.
Drake is looking to control Cartofell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Drake avoid being mounted?
Cartofell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drake keeps working.
Cartofell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Drake is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Drake tries to lock up and control but Cartofell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

It looks like Cartofell might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Drake is squirming around, avoiding Cartofell's attempts to control the action.

Drake tries to hold on but Cartofell pushes him away.
Drake takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drake is in a horrible position here. Cartofell smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Cartofell tries to control but Drake wriggling away.
Cartofell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cartofell is landing with some decent strikes but Drake is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Drake tries to sprawl but Cartofell drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Cartofell is keen to just control but Drake is a slippery customer.
Cartofell is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Arthur Cartofell hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cartofell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Drake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cartofell is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cartofell in particular looking to stall.
Cartofell uses his free foot to push down on Drake's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Drake.
Arthur Cartofell has got the better of the ground game so far.

Cartofell misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Cartofell wants to control the pace but Drake is squirming around nicely.

Drake sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Cartofell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cartofell tries to score with some ground and pound. Drake controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Cartofell misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Cartofell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cartofell is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

I wouldn't like to be where Drake is right now.

Arthur Cartofell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Cartofell shoots in and bounces Drake off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cartofell drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cartofell looking to sit in guard and control but Drake gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Drake won't allow Cartofell to sweep him here.

Cartofell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drake's guard.

Drake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Arthur Cartofell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cartofell wants to improve his position but Drake is controlling well.

Drake is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arthur Cartofell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cartofell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
