Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Game Bred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Game Bred!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mohammed Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bred is looking to clinch.
Bred changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into Bred's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bred's guard.

Gracie is trying to drag Bred to the mat but Bred just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bred stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.
Bred is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gracie is keeping busy.
Bred is pressed up against the cage. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bred down to the mat. Bred avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gracie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gracie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bred pinned against the cage. Bred gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Game Bred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bred counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Gracie feints and as Bred raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bred is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gracie is controlling him.
Bred preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Game Bred will probably get the nod.

Bred buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bred scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bred did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Bred defends the submission attempt.

Bred scores with a head kick. Gracie tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Bred displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bred's waist but Bred gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Gracie is trying to push Bred away but Bred has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bred lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Gracie has clasped his hands together around Bred's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bred knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bred, who protects the arm well.
