Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommy Oliver will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos looking to score a takedown here. Oliver is defending well but Santos drives through and ends up in Oliver's guard.
Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Oliver is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.
Oliver wants to stand and escape but Santos is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Santos throws a big elbow that misses.
Santos trying to control but Oliver is working from the bottom.

Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oliver is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Santos wants to pass the guard but Oliver is keeping the position.
Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Oliver is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Santos wants to control from the top but Oliver keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Oliver misses with a takedown attempt - Santos sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oliver looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oliver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Santos is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Oliver can't fight it off and eventually Santos manages to take the fight to the floor. Oliver looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Santos drops back looking for a leg! Oliver is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oliver manages to kick Santos off! Santos jumps back into Oliver's guard.

Santos wants to control from the top but Oliver keeps moving.
Santos advances to half guard.
Santos is looking to take a break and control but Oliver is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Santos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Oliver defends it well.
Oliver controlling the position well.
Santos is trying to control. Oliver wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oliver is trying to stand.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Santos wants to pass to mount but Oliver is defending the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Santos is looking for a kimura but Oliver is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Santos to get the leverage.
Santos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Santos is trying to control. Oliver wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Santos works his way into full mount!
Santos lands a heavy elbow.
Oliver wants to control but Santos is having none of it.
Santos working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Santos throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Santos throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Poor strikes thrown by Santos there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Santos has control of Oliver's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Oliver regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oliver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Santos is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Oliver has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Santos misses with a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Santos dominated that round.
That's time! Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Oliver shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Oliver counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Santos tries to roll over but Oliver keeps him under control.
Oliver is pressing down on Santos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Santos is holding on for now.
Santos wants to get back to full guard.
Santos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Oliver's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Oliver's back!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Oliver is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Santos has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Oliver taps out!
