The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knobbs gets caught napping as Carolan dives in and scores a takedown. Knobbs manages to retain guard.

Carolan stands and steps away. Knobbs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Knobbs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Carolan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carolan .
Knobbs tries for a takedown but Carolan manages to get underhooks.

Knobbs is trying to push Carolan away but Carolan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Carolan 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fighters circle, before Carolan throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Knobbs's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Carolan lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
