Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Birdman Lugz!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopo lands a body shot.

Kopo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lugz, pushing him back against the ropes.
Kopo tries to circle away but Lugz has him pinned against the ropes.
Kopo is struggling to control the position.
Lugz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kopo fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kopo has closed the distance and engaged Lugz in a clinch.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kopo - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kopo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lugz up against the ropes.

Kopo is trying to force a seperation but Lugz has the dominant position.
Lugz keeps control of Kopo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kopo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lugz has him pressed against the ropes.
Lugz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kopo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kopo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Lugz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kopo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Piugnu Kopo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Birdman Lugz.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Kopo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lugz's brow.

Lugz gets control of Kopo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lugz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Lugz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kopo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
