Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Smash Mouth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mouth's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, eye of the tiger. Musashi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: jay chou-long quan (dragon fist). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouth tries for a takedown but Musashi circles away easily

Musashi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Musashi stops Mouth from standing up.
Mouth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mouth has his foot on Musashi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Musashi works his way back into a safe position though.

Miyamoto Musashi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Mouth pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mouth does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close round but I would say that Smash Mouth will probably get the nod.

Mouth scores with a shot to the body.

Mouth closes the distance and clinches up with Musashi, looking for a takedown. Mouth pushes Musashi against the cage but Musashi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Musashi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mouth.

Mouth throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smash Mouth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
