Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Tags (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sub Zero has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Charlie Tags's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tags tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zero swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tags's waist but Tags gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zero off to one side.
Tags has his takedown stuffed

and Zero counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Zero trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Zero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Tags wants to sweep but no luck.
Tags is trying to keep Zero in close.
Tags avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zero trying to control but Tags is working from the bottom.
Zero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tags throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Tags knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zero on the ground.
Tags is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tags moves out of range of the body kick from Zero.

Tags closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Zero misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Zero regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tags wants to stand but Zero has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Zero working for a triangle but Tags defends it easily.
Tags tries to free his leg and advance position but Zero is retaining full guard.
Zero trying to keep a closed guard but Tags is proving a slippery customer.

Zero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tags can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Zero looks gassed!

Tags drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zero looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zero looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zero!
Zero fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tags is trying to control Zero's posture but Zero avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tags is trying to get back to his feet.
Tags tries to improve position but can't.

Zero working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Tags is trying to control Zero's posture but Zero avoids it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Zero shoots in for a takedown but Tags shows good takedown defense.
Charlie Tags has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Zero.
Tags shoots and misses

and Zero counters with a single leg into guard. Tags didn't expect that.
Zero pushing down on Tags's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tags is staying active underneath Zero, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zero trying to mount his opponent but Tags defends it.
Zero wants to control but Tags is keeping him busy.

Zero is nestled in close to Tags, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Zero throwing shots but Tags is blocking nicely.
Tags gets back to full guard.
Zero is looking to work some ground and pound but Tags has wrist control.
Zero is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zero advances position into side control!
Zero moves into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tags is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Zero dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tags tries to lock up and control but Zero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tags is in all sorts of trouble here.

Zero is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Zero!
