The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitsugaya gets caught flat footed, as The Young Assassin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The Young Assassin trying to control but Hitsugaya is working from the bottom.
The Young Assassin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hitsugaya is keeping the position for now.
Hitsugaya uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The Young Assassin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hitsugaya counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hitsugaya is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hitsugaya won't allow The Young Assassin to get back to his feet.

Hitsugaya drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Young Assassin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Young Assassin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Young Assassin!

Hitsugaya makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hitsugaya.
Hitsugaya pulls The Young Assassin in close to prevent any damage.
The Young Assassin is posturing up here but Hitsugaya has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! The Young Assassin tries to roll out but it's too tight and The Young Assassin has to tap! Slick submission there by Hitsugaya!
