Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Saurus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eminem - No Love. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Hanson blocks the leg kick.
Saurus shoots for a double leg takedown but Hanson sprawls well. He's pushed Saurus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Hanson counters with a slapping leg kick.

Hanson throws a shot from downtown. Saurus moves away and avoids it.

Hanson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Saurus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hanson is in Saurus's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saurus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Saurus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Saurus can't keep his opponent in guard - Hanson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hanson is looking to take a break and control but Saurus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Saurus kicks Hanson off and gets back to his feet.
Hanson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Saurus.
Saurus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hanson swivels and escapes.
Hanson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hanson throws a front kick aimed at Saurus's knee but Saurus avoids it well.

Hanson clobbers Saurus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hanson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hanson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saurus moves away.

Hanson throws the left hand but Saurus avoids the punch easily.
Saurus takes one to the side of the head.

Saurus shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Saurus will probably get the nod.

Saurus throws a lazy right hand but Hanson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Saurus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hanson is trying to defend but Saurus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

After the fight, Frank Saurus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
