Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conan Silpoja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Pegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Conan Silpoja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Pegas!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silpoja closes the distance and clinches up with Pegas, looking for a takedown. Silpoja pushes Pegas against the cage but Pegas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pegas moves into the clinch.
Pegas misses with an elbow over the top.
Silpoja connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Jon Pegas has been cut.
Pegas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Pegas tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Silpoja tries to land knees in the clinch but Pegas avoids the damage to the body.
Silpoja is trying to push Pegas away but Pegas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Silpoja shoots in looking for a takedown. Pegas tries to sprawl out of it but Silpoja keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pegas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silpoja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pegas's waist but Pegas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silpoja off to one side.
A bone on bone clash there as Pegas blocks the leg kick.

Pegas misses with a low kick as Silpoja jumps back.

Silpoja is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pegas is defending well for now.

Pegas pushes off an throws an elbow but Silpoja leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Pegas trying to control the position but instead, Silpoja has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pegas into the cage.

Silpoja pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silpoja keeps the fight on the outside.
Pegas looks to score with a jab to the body but Silpoja is just out of range.
Silpoja shoots for a double leg takedown but Pegas sprawls well. He's pushed Silpoja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silpoja walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silpoja shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pegas but Pegas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silpoja throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pegas was covering up waiting for the punch and Silpoja finishes the takedown easily into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pegas is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Pegas tries to roll over but Silpoja keeps him under control.
Pegas is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Silpoja jumps into side control!
Pegas is looking to regain half guard here but Silpoja keeps moving and retains side control.
Silpoja is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silpoja postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silpoja cracks Pegas with a big elbow.
Silpoja is working Pegas over with some ground and pound from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Conan Silpoja will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silpoja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pegas avoids it really well and circles away.

Pegas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silpoja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silpoja will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pegas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silpoja!

Pegas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silpoja is looking to escape.

Silpoja is bucking up trying to escape but Pegas cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Silpoja changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pegas fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pegas can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Conan Silpoja.

Silpoja won't allow Pegas to get back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Pegas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
No luck for Silpoja with that takedown attempt.

Conan Silpoja showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Silpoja has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
