Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mamed Chalidow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steven Hamada!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chalidow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hamada is fending him off so far but Chalidow persists. Nope, Hamada circles away and we're back to standing.
Chalidow looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Hamada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chalidow is trying to defend but Hamada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hamada with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Hamada decides to stand up.

Hamada closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hamada has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Chalidow clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chalidow is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
It looks like Hamada might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hamada's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Chalidow trying to control the action but Hamada just sinks the hooks in.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Hamada. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Hamada has Chalidow flattened out and is raining down punches.

Hamada working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
What can Chalidow do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Hamada biding his time, looking for the opening.

Hamada is cranking Chalidow's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Chalidow! He's tightened the choke and Chalidow is tapping out!
