Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teemu Toivanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Edberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teemu Toivanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stefan Edberg!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edberg misses with a wild combination.
Edberg throws a series of punches but Toivanen avoids them all with ease.

Toivanen scores a takedown into full mount!

Toivanen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Edberg has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Edberg!

Toivanen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Toivanen has his foot on Edberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Edberg works his way back into a safe position though.

Toivanen is looking to sweep but instead, Edberg has passed into half guard.

Toivanen is looking for a sweep. Edberg is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Toivanen wants to get back to full guard but Edberg has mounted him!

That was a close round but I would say that Teemu Toivanen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Toivanen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Toivanen shoots in and bounces Edberg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Toivanen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Edberg keeps working.
Toivanen works to advance to full mount. Edberg defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Edberg is looking to take a break and control but Toivanen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Toivanen scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Edberg manages to mount him!
Edberg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's time! Toivanen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Toivanen moves out of range of the body kick from Edberg.
Edberg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No joy there for Edberg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edberg misses with a wild combination.
Stefan Edberg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice defenses there by Toivanen.
Edberg drops Toivanen with a left and a right! Oh, Toivanen is hurt - Edberg dives into side control looking to finish!


Toivanen is rocked!


It looks like Teemu Toivanen has been cut.
Toivanen gets back to half guard.
Oh Toivanen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Toivanen is pressing down on Edberg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Edberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Toivanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Edberg controls from within his opponent's guard.
Toivanen seems to have got his legs back now.

Edberg gets to his feet - Toivanen follows without any prompting.

Toivanen slips a jab and a cross from Edberg.
Stefan Edberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toivanen moves out of range as Edberg strikes.
Toivanen shoots in for a takedown but Edberg shows good takedown defense.
Toivanen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Edberg circles away.
Edberg drops Toivanen with a right and a left! Edberg comes rushing in but Toivanen regains his composure and manages to keep Edberg in guard.

Toivanen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Toivanen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Edberg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Toivanen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Edberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Edberg lands a hook that stumbles Toivanen back into the cage. Edberg follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Toivanen to the canvas! Edberg pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Toivanen has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Stefan Edberg!
