Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Ringo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ringo's choice of entrance music: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johny Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Ringo!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ringo dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut!
Johnson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ringo misses with a body shot.
Ringo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A slow jab from Ringo misses its intended target.
Ringo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnson in his tracks.
Ringo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Johnson under the eye.
Sloppy strikes from Ringo. Those never looked like landing.
Johnson tries to clinch but Ringo moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ringo. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ringo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Ringo is out of range.

Johnson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ringo to the ground. Johnson is now in Ringo's guard.

Ringo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ringo throwing strikes but missing.
Ringo passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ringo.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ringo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Nice strikes from Ringo there.
Johnson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ringo in particular looking to stall.
Ringo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ringo controlling the pace.

Ringo lands with a punch from half guard.
Ringo uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.

Johnson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ringo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Johnson's face.
Ringo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson is looking to improve his position but Ringo isn't that keen on the idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ringo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Johnson is rocked!
Ringo looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Johnson covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Ringo!
