Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuma Kiryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Kiryu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Malone tries to clinch there but Kiryu circles away.

Malone closes the distance and clinches.
Malone lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Malone lands a nice knee to the body.

Malone tries a knee to the head but Kiryu blocks it.

Malone lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kiryu backwards.
Kiryu jumps guard but Malone stands there with Kiryu around his waist. Kiryu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kiryu is trying to break the clinch but Malone has him pressed against the cage.

Malone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Malone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Malone wants to sweep here but Kiryu controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Malone will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Malone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kiryu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kiryu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Malone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kiryu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Malone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kiryu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kiryu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Malone tries to clinch up but Kiryu circles away and keeps his distance.
Malone shoots in but no luck this time.
Malone swats away the attempt to clinch by Kiryu.

Kiryu tries to keep at a distance but Malone has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kiryu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Clay Malone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuma Kiryu.
Malone with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Malone pulls guard.
Malone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Malone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kiryu's guard.
Malone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Malone passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Malone has hold of Kiryu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kiryu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Malone cranks the arm and Kiryu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kiryu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
