Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip Nipslip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Kuikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nipslip shoots in and bounces Kuikka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kuikka has an active guard here but Nipslip has managed to pass into half guard.
Kuikka manages to get to full guard.
Kuikka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nipslip can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kuikka scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Kuikka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kuikka prevents Nipslip from improving his position.
Kuikka is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kuikka tries to pass to full mount but Nipslip defends it.
Nipslip kicks off Kuikka and gets to his feet.

and Kuikka counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nipslip shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kuikka is working to get back to half guard.

Kuikka tries to lock up and control but Nipslip gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nipslip pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kuikka wants to control but Nipslip is having none of it.

Kuikka bucks up and throws Nipslip to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Kuikka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nipslip's guard.
Kuikka gets to his feet - Nipslip follows without any prompting.
Kuikka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nipslip falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kuikka counters with a shoot takedown. Nipslip fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nipslip looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kuikka is one step ahead there.
Nipslip working for submissions but it's allowed Kuikka to get to half guard.
Kuikka stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Nipslip doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kuikka counters with a three punch combo that has Nipslip backing up. Nipslip nods at Kuikka to acknowledge the strikes.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nipslip looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nipslip gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kuikka counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rip Nipslip. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kuikka is putting a hurting on Nipslip here, landing some big shots from side control.
Nipslip tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Nipslip can't do much from the bottom here.
Kuikka avoids the strikes from the bottom by Nipslip.
Nipslip is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kuikka is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nipslip has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nipslip manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kuikka's best efforts.

Nipslip slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Nipslip tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nipslip has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Kuikka is posturing up here but Nipslip has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kuikka tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kuikka has to tap! Slick submission there by Nipslip!
