The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desantis is trying hard to land a takedown here. James sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
James tries to bum rush Desantis with a series of wild strikes but Desantis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Desantis cranks the arm and James screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from James, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
