Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Helmond Hoolie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Ericsson!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoolie rushes Ericsson and presses him up against the cage.
Hoolie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ericsson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ericsson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hoolie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hoolie unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ericsson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hoolie using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ericsson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hoolie breaks the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hoolie.
Ericsson tries to clinch but Hoolie is having none of it.
Ericsson looks for a takedown but Hoolie sprawls well.
Hoolie clinches but Ericsson breaks the clinch

and Ericsson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hoolie wants to stall.
Hoolie stops a takedown attempt from Ericsson.
Helmond Hoolie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Ericsson.
Ericsson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hoolie pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hoolie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Hoolie does no damage.

Hoolie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ericsson's guard.
Hoolie postures up.
Hoolie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hoolie trying to control but Ericsson is working from the bottom.
Ericsson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hoolie!
Ericsson looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoolie tries to lock up and control but Ericsson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hoolie tries to reverse the position but Ericsson maintains control.
Ericsson lands a big shot there that rocks Hoolie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ericsson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoolie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hoolie flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Hoolie suckers Ericsson into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Hoolie is now in Ericsson's guard!
Ericsson tries to strike from the bottom.
Ericsson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ericsson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hoolie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ericsson wants to hit a switch here but Hoolie passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ericsson there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hoolie has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Ericsson is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Helmond Hoolie!
