Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hepatitis See (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes into the arena with Big Bad Wolf by Duck Sauce blaring out of the sound system. David Williams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hepatitis See! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. See tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in See's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as See works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Williams drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and See dives on top into guard. Williams is trying to keep See in close.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. See gets to his feet. Williams looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! See misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams. See digs a good hook to Williams's body.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
See throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams shoots in and bounces See off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams postures up in See's guard and throws a big left but See blocks it. See wants to stand and escape but Williams is having none of it. Williams controls from within his opponent's guard. See is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Williams is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams trying to control but See is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Williams postures up in See's guard and throws a big left but See blocks it. Williams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Williams throwing strikes but missing. Williams advances position into side control! Williams trying to control the position but See is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. See is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Williams has just dragged him back down to the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams trying to control the action but See is working from the bottom. The ground and pound from Williams seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. See tries to escape but Williams is in control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if See can do anything to dispel that myth. Williams fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Williams is looking to take a break and control but See is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Williams is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because See is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams in side control, throwing shots but See defends. Williams tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Williams with the ground and pound but See regains half guard under the barage of strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Williams dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

No joy there for See, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like David Williams has been cut. See checks a low kick from Williams. See scores with a decent looking hook. See throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. Some wild striking there from See.
Williams lands a nice hook to See's body. See takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A punch combination from See misses. Sloppy strikes from See. Those never looked like landing. Williams misses with a few strikes there.

A punch combination from Williams misses. See doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land. See slips under a jab from Williams. See blocks a head kick by Williams.
See pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Williams back to the cage. See follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Williams counters with a one-two to the body. Williams takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as See sprawls well. See wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams thows a body shot but no joy. Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Williams takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. See throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. Williams misses with a hook. See ducked under it nicely. Hepatitis See is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has See pinned against the cage. See gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. See stalks Williams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Williams's face. Williams staggers backwards, shaken. Williams throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice takedown defense from See. No joy for Williams on that attempt. Williams throws a nice looking combination but See bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Williams shoots in but no luck this time. Nice uppercut lands for See. That snapped Williams's head back.
See lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

David Williams's cut is getting worse. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams fails with the takedown. See takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Williams takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's four minutes gone in the round. See throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Williams's jaw, knocking him onto his back! See dives in looking to finish as Williams flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block See's strikes! See is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Williams's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Williams was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
