The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a hook.
Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Turko scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard.

Turko seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Turko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.
Turko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ali Turko just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Turko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Turko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Turko has a good base and remains in mount.

Turko looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
