Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derek Scully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aadyn Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derek Scully!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aadyn Gibbs!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs tries to clinch up but Scully circles away and keeps his distance.

Scully fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Scully.
Scully misses with a takedown attempt
and Gibbs moves into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Scully. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scully wants to take the fight to the mat but Gibbs manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Scully wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gibbs has him pressed against the cage.
Gibbs landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Scully has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gibbs is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Scully tries to score a body lock takedown but Gibbs shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gibbs displaying some good clinch control by pressing Scully up against the cage.
Scully drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gibbs pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gibbs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gibbs scores a takedown into full mount!
Scully holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gibbs tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Scully is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gibbs avoids the attempt from Scully to control.
Scully regains half guard.
Scully is trying to control but can't.
Scully is pressing down on Gibbs's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Scully looking for a triangle here. Gibbs is fighting it but it looks tight! Scully pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gibbs is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Derek Scully!
Derek Scully seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
