Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carl Panzram!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panzram connects with a body shot.

Panzram closes the distance and clinches.
Panzram keeps control of Fury as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Panzram is trying to trip Fury. He has hold of a leg but Fury is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Panzram persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fury avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panzram content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fury wants to get back to his feet but Panzram is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Fury pushes Panzram off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Panzram lands with a right hand.
The crowd cheers as Fury lands an impressive looking overhand right. Panzram doesn't seem phased though.
Panzram shoots in for a takedown but Fury shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fury takes a swing at Panzram's ribcage but misses.

Panzram ducks under a wild hook from Fury.

Panzram buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Panzram slips under a jab.
Nice uppercut there from Fury.
Panzram lands a glancing blow to the side of Fury's head.
Fury lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fury.

Panzram closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fury quickly recovers to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Panzram is looking to take a break and control but Fury is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Panzram is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fury!

Panzram is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fury can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


It looks like Bryan Fury has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Bryan Fury's cut is getting worse.

Panzram quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Panzram but it's paid off an Fury is forced to tap! Nice work by Panzram.
