Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miksu Rupunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rupunen comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Maynard avoids a punch combination nicely.
Maynard closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rupunen counters with a three punch combo that has Maynard backing up. Maynard nods at Rupunen to acknowledge the strikes.
Rupunen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maynard tries to avoid it but Rupunen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maynard to the ground. Maynard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Maynard lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maynard throws a head kick that misses.
Rupunen swats away the attempt to clinch by Maynard.
Maynard misses with an attempted mid kick.
Maynard looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rupunen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maynard was well out of range. Poor timing from Rupunen.
Maynard feints and then cracks Rupunen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rupunen down.
Rupunen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Maynard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Maynard lands a head shot.
Maynard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rupunen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maynard has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Peter Maynard has been cut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rupunen.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Maynard is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rupunen passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Maynard!

Maynard is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rupunen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Maynard is forced to tap!
