Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keast Gaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rallo Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gaard might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Otto Brandenburg - Når en Sailor Går i Land. Keast Gaard had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Keast Gaard!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rallo Brown!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown walks into a stiff left hand from Gaard.
Gaard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brown. Brown circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A combination from Gaard does no damage.
Gaard lands the left hand.
Gaard just misses with a punch to the body.
Brown takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Brown scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Brown looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Brown is stalling here. Gaard is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brown seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gaard has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gaard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brown to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaard throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
Gaard looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gaard connects with a right hand. Brown shakes it off.
Gaard scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Brown takes the fight into the clinch.
Brown working aggressively here.
Gaard wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brown misses with a punch on the inside.
Brown can't find room to land a body shot as Gaard controls the action.
Brown makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown stalling in the clinch but Gaard improves position.
Gaard is trying to force a seperation but Brown has the dominant position.
Gaard takes a knee right on the jaw!
Gaard is looking to break free of the clinch but Brown has double underhooks.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Gaard has denied him.
Brown doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The referee is keeping an eye on Brown - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Gaard breaks the clinch.
Gaard throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gaard scores with a jab. Brown acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A punch lands to the side of Brown 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gaard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gaard is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gaard steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Brown. That one must have hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaard tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brown moves out of range of the strikes.
Gaard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaard tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Keast Gaard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rallo Brown.
Gaard shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brown eats them both and turns towards Gaard to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gaard scores with a sloppy right hand. Brown should have avoided that one.
Gaard jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gaard works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gaard lands the left hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown shoots in but Gaard avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gaard lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Gaard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Brown is rocked!
Brown looks gassed!
Gaard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Gaard finish him?
Gaard throws a front kick aimed at Brown's knee but Brown avoids it well.
Gaard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice body punch from Gaard.
Brown seems to have recovered his senses.
Gaard works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gaard throws a combination that misses

and Brown counters by clinching up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brown lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Gaard blocking some punches.
Gaard is trying to break free.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gaard tries to circle away but Brown has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keast Gaard dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Brown tries to clinch there but Gaard circles away.
Gaard punishes Brown's body with a nice straight punch.
Brown takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Brown takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Keast Gaard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brown checks a leg kick.
Gaard lands a leg kick that knocks Brown off balance momentarily.
Keast Gaard is winning the standup battle so far.
Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Gaard which made him look bad.
Gaard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gaard lands a lovely overhand right.
Brown is breathing heavily.
Brown walks into a left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaard goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Brown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gaard throws out the jab.
Brown walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
BOOM! Gaard lands a beautiful left hook that drops Brown. Brown tries to recover but Gaard is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Brown lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keast Gaard!
Keast Gaard retains his welterweight title!
A very excited looking Keast Gaard rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
