The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Textmark tries to clinch but Fedja moves away
and Fedja counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Justin Textmark has been cut.
Fedja wants to clinch up but Textmark keeps it at a distance.

Textmark clinches.

Fedja pulls Textmark into guard.

Fedja looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fedja is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Textmark is controlling him.
Textmark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Fedja manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fedja swings widly with a right hand

and Textmark counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fedja's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Textmark prevents Fedja from getting back to his feet.

Fedja working for a triangle but Textmark defends it easily.

Textmark pushes down on Fedja's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Textmark wants to work for an arm triangle but Fedja is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Textmark is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fedja pushes Textmark off and gets back to his feet.
Fedja misses with a jab to the body
and Textmark counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fedja throws a left and a right that both miss
and Textmark counters with a straight right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Textmark bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Textmark walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Fedja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Textmark was well out of range. Poor timing from Fedja.
Fedja throws a series of punches but Textmark moves out of range.
Fedja shoots in for a double leg but Textmark sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Textmark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fedja as he avoids it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Fedja. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fedja.

Fedja fails with a takedown attempt.
Textmark leaves Fedja with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Justin Textmark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fjodor Fedja.
Textmark blocks a jab.
Fedja misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fedja scores with a nice head shot.
Textmark swings for the body but Fedja moves out of range.
Textmark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fedja swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fedja has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Fedja closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Textmark's guard.
Fedja wanted to stand there but Textmark had control of the position.
Fedja trying to control the position from guard on top but Textmark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fedja must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Textmark manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Fjodor Fedja will probably get the nod.

and Textmark counters with a three punch combo that has Fedja backing up. Fedja nods at Textmark to acknowledge the strikes.

Textmark looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Textmark is looking for a kimura but Fedja is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Textmark to get the leverage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fedja wants to get back to full guard.

Textmark has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fedja defend it? Textmark steps over the head and cranks it - Fedja is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Textmark!

Justin Textmark really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
