Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Artur Renato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renato comes to the cage accompanied by I'll whip ya head. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ivan Couture enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a takedown attempt - Renato sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Couture swats away the attempt to clinch by Renato.
Renato throws a head kick that Couture semi-blocks.
Couture swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Couture closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Renato is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Couture off and has taken his back!

Couture really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Renato. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Renato is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Couture defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Couture controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Couture is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Couture is trying to shake Renato off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Renato won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Renato is looking to slow Couture down with leg kicks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Renato lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Couture circles away quickly and effectively.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Couture crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Renato - the referee stops the clock and Couture gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Renato. Couture manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Couture walks forward, straight into a front kick from Renato.
Renato pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Renato.

Renato tests Couture's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Couture misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Couture lands a slapping body shot.
Renato tries to land a front kick but Couture steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Couture throws a series of strikes that have Renato backpedaling.

Renato smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good leg kick by Renato there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Couture misses with a takedown attempt - Renato sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Couture is breathing heavily.
A slapping leg kick lands for Renato.
Renato throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Couture on the side of the head.
Couture takes a kick to the side of the head.
Renato looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Renato ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Renato throws a head kick that misses.
Renato lands with an uppercut that bounces Couture off the cage and back into range.
Renato misses with a two punch combination.
Couture walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Couture is rocked!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Renato dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Couture. That did some damage!
Couture is still on wobbly legs! Can Renato finish him?
Couture tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Couture drops his hands for a split second and Renato immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Couture face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Renato follows up with a right hand that knocks Couture into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
