Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hannu Yabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dieter Shlchon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yabal comes into the arena with New Divide, Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yabal closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Yabal lands in his opponent's guard.
Yabal sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shlchon's guard.

Shlchon makes his way to full guard, as Yabal worked for a kimura.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yabal drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shlchon dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yabal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shlchon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shlchon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shlchon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shlchon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Yabal is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shlchon works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Shlchon thows a huge punch but Yabal dodges it nicely.
Yabal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shlchon is working away from the top position though.

Shlchon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yabal defends it well.
Yabal is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Shlchon jumps into side control!

Yabal tries to get to full guard but Shlchon has control of the leg.
Yabal is staying active underneath Shlchon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shlchon tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Yabal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Yabal.

Yabal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shlchon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shlchon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Yabal had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Shlchon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Yabal Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Shlchon's back instead.

Yabal is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shlchon defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
