Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Schweidler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schweidler has chosen IZ as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schweidler gets off balance looking for a body kick
and York counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Schweidler thinking.
York pivots, looking for a leg kick but Schweidler is out of range and York settles back down.
Schweidler cracks the inside of York's front leg.
York tried to score with a low kick but Schweidler checks it.
York blocks a head kick by Schweidler.
York bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Schweidler's head.
York looks to score with a jab to the body but Schweidler is just out of range.
York slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Rene Schweidler has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
York checks a low kick from Schweidler.
York tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schweidler was well out of range. Poor timing from York.
Schweidler doesn't manage to clinch there - York circles away.

Nigel York seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
York connects with a body shot that sends Schweidler's belly button to the back.
Schweidler tries to close the distance and clinch but York swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

York ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schweidler moves away.
York scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fighters circle momentarily. York darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Schweidler takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
York lands with an overhand left.

That has opened up Rene Schweidler's cut even more.
Schweidler tries to clinch
and York counters with a one-two to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
York scores with a hook to the body. Schweidler takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Schweidler looks gassed!
York uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Schweidler has time to react.
York cracks a nice hook into Schweidler's ribs.
York throws a shot to the body.
York is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

York feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Schweidler sprawling to the canvas! Schweidler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can York finish him?!
Schweidler gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! York points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Schweidler wakes up just in time to hear York thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
