PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Dexter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter has chosen The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter connects with a solid leg kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Silva blocks the leg kick.
Silva on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Dexter gets a clinch.

Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dexter wants to take the fight to the mat but Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dexter is trying to maintain a safe position but Silva gets an underhook and turns Dexter into the cage.

Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dexter circles away quickly and effectively.

Silva trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dexter tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dexter throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dexter shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva pounces like a tiger and cracks Dexter with a vicious hook! Dexter is down but not out! Silva follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
